# Ask for the bill after the headline

A low starting figure can leave a lot unanswered. Ask which things the price buys, when that price ends, and how continued care would fit your budget.

## Separate the medicine from the care fee

As of September 2026, online weight-care offers can charge a monthly membership with medicine billed on top.

Ask whether the quote includes the clinician, drug, tests, delivery, and follow-up. Ask what each extra item costs. Put the answers together before comparing offers.

## Cash medicine prices can still be large

In September 2026, the government price site listed self-pay tirzepatide (Mounjaro) starting at $499 a month.

Self-pay means paying cash outside insurance.

That figure is for medicine; ask separately about the care and tests you may be billed for. It is an example to put beside a quote, not a price for every treatment.

As of September 2026, paying the maker's self-pay price does not count toward an insurance deductible.

A deductible is money a plan may require you to pay before it pays toward covered care.

## Ask about the ordinary month

Request the price after any opening offer. Ask whether the amount changes for a different medicine, tablet, or injection. A useful quote says what you receive and for how long.

Examples checked in September 2026 include an opening cash-price offer for semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) and savings cards for tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound), with terms ending on December 31, 2026.

Those end dates call for a new price check; they do not tell us what the next price will be.

These are examples, not a list of every offer. Ask whether your quote uses one of them and when your own written price ends.

## Check the commitment before the charge

Ask whether the offer requires payment ahead of time or a long membership. Find out how to cancel, which charges are refundable, and how the bill changes when no medicine is prescribed.

Save the written answer. If a charge seems unclear, ask for a clearer quote before agreeing to it.

## Compare the same kind of price

Find out which sort of figure you are seeing: an amount paid through insurance, a cash quote, or an opening deal. Ask whether it covers the same medicine and the same period. Then compare the full totals.

A question to keep

Ask: What would I pay after the opening offer, including every required fee?

This Orlando notebook helps with care questions. It does not operate a clinic; medicine is not sold through it.
