# In Orlando, start with the Florida record

For an office visit, ask who will see you. For an online visit, ask which Florida licence or registration they use. Start with the person behind the offer.

## Keep the location clear

Orlando sits in Florida's Orange County.

Telehealth means getting care at a distance, such as through a screen or an online exchange.

For routine care given at a distance while you are in Florida, the clinician needs permission to practise here, as of September 2026.

Give the service your expected location for the appointment. If you will be travelling, ask about that location before arranging care.

## For care in a room, check the person and place

Ask who will assess you, what the visit includes, and whether an exam or tests could lead to another visit. Ask who handles follow-up.

As of September 2026, many Florida clinics need a licence from the state's Agency for Health Care Administration.

Some offices wholly owned and supervised by licensed health professionals do not need that clinic licence. Its absence, on its own, therefore does not establish a problem.

Ask the office why it does not need a clinic licence and which ownership rule applies. If the answer is unclear, ask the state agency through its clinic page below.

The agency's clinic page links to a search for licensed clinics and other health care buildings.

## For online care, check the Florida route

Under the September 2026 Florida rules, a clinician already licensed here needs no added telehealth registration.

An out-of-state clinician can instead use Florida's telehealth registration route, subject to its rules.

Ask which record applies to the person you will see. Keep their name, not just the service name.

## A licence still leaves the medicine to check

The US drug regulator is called the Food and Drug Administration, or FDA for short.

Approval of health care providers and their offices is outside what the FDA does, as of September 2026.

Check the clinician's record and the drug's status as separate questions. Keep both answers before deciding.

A question to keep

Ask: Which Florida record can I use to check the person who would treat me?

This Orlando notebook helps with care questions. It does not operate a clinic; medicine is not sold through it.
